Jaeyoung Cho is a PhD candidate at the University Hospital Bonn. Originally from South Korea and educated internationally, he is now based in Germany. His research centers on bringing state-of-the-art AI into everyday radiology practice. Within his group he has developed OHIF-AI, a browser-based OHIF platform that integrates interactive segmentation and AI-assisted report generation. Longer term, he aims to grow this line of work into a validation environment where new methods can be assessed rigorously against realistic clinical workflows.
He serves on the RISE-MICCAI board as website coordinator. In parallel with his doctorate, he works as a software engineer at Need Inc. on AI-driven radiology and pathology products, with engineering focused on OHIF and MONAI.
